An Introduction to Kinship Verification

The book provides a detailed understanding of Kinship Verification. Kinship Verification is a new and emerging research topic for image processing and computer vision field. It is the task of verifying if there exists any kind of kinship relation between given pairs of facial images. The definition of Kinship along with their types and Kinship Verification is explained in lucid and brief manner. A brief outline of Automatic kinship verification system from facial images is also provided. A brief literature survey and current issues are also explained to so that the researchers and academicians can get a headstart into the field.
