An Introduction to Research Methodology: From Theory to Practice

Research is a word that is frequently used either in academic institutions or even outside; it is a process which is undertaken in various domains. Yet, some attention should be shed on the way a research is carried out. To write a research paper is a way to express one's interest in the field of research. Thus, in order to achieve a well-done and innovative research work, graduate students are asked to write a research paper on a specific subject of research. Yet, what is generally noticed is that having to write a research paper generally makes students feel frustrated and intimidated mainly at the beginning of the research since researching and writing require a long time, effort, patience, and organization as well. This book is primarily intended to serve as a textbook for Master students of English.

Le Dr Hynd Kaid Slimane-Mahdad est titulaire d'un doctorat en sociolinguistique de l'université de Tlemcen. Elle est actuellement maître de conférences à l'université Belhadj Bouchaib d'Ain Temouchent. Ses principaux intérêts de recherche tournent autour de la sociolinguistique, de la méthodologie de recherche et de la didactique. Elle a également enseigné l'anglais pendant près de vingt ans dans le secondaire.
