The purpose of this book is to give in depth knowledge about Parkinson's Diseases to the patients and caregivers. The choice of Parkinson's disease (PD) for the study was determined by the problems that PD, and other neurodegenerative disorders, poses to society. Parkinson's disease affects approximately 0.3% of the world's population and 1% of people over 60 years old. The aim of this book is to create awareness among the patient as well as their caretakers and common masses on Parkinson's disease.

Angana Saikia is pursuing her Ph.D in the Biomedical Engineering from Department of Biomedical Engineering, NEHU, Shillong. She completed B.E in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation and M.Tech in Bioelectronics. She was also engaged as research fellow in DBT project. Her specialization is Electrophysiology, Neurorehabilitation and Biosignals.
