An overview of phenoxazine and its synthetic intermediates

This book includes two chapters. First chapter is concerned with the synthesis and biological activities of phenoxazine and second chapter included the active synthons such as oxo-ketenedithioacetals, chalcones, dimethylaminomethyleneketones enolic ethers etc, undergo nucleophilic displacement with bidentate nucleophiles to afford a wide variety of ring structures and thus provide an unprecedented opportunity to a chemist for a one step synthesis of difficultly accessible fused heterocyclic systems containing pyrazole, isoxazole, pyrimidine, benzodiazepine, benzothiazepines etc.

Dr. Navjeet Kaur was born in Punjab, India. She received her B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Punjab University, Punjab, India (2008), M.Sc. degree in Organic Chemistry at Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India (2010) and obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2013 from Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India. She is an Assistant Professor in Chemistry.
