This book focuses on the analgesic effect of Lawsonia inermis (Henna) leaves on the mice. Excessive pain may causes-sinking sensation, fear fullness, sweating, nausea, palpitation, and rise or fall in blood pressure and tachypnea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, drowsiness, depression and hypotension as common side effect. Opioid drugs exhibit their effects by action on Mu, Kappa and Delta receptors. Lawsonia inermis commonly known as 'Mehndi' belongs to Lythraceae family, is a much-branched glabrous shrub or small tree (2 to 6 m in height) cultivated for its stem bark, roots, flowers, and seeds have also been used in traditional medicine.
