Analysing the growth impact of financial innovation: A case study

In this case study, the author analyses how each financial market participant - stock markets, banks, mutual funds, insurance companies - can impact economic growth through innovation. The author extends the analysis further by comparing these growth impacts between a random group of developing and developed economies. The author builds a panel-data econometric model to understand which financial market participant has a growth-enhancing or growth-reducing impact.
