Construction delays are one the most chronic problems faced by the real estate sector in India. The work presented herein tries to identify the root causes, contribution of contracting parties in its occurrence and application of principles of lean construction for their mitigation. The aim of work is to develop an algorithm for calculation of delays on the basis of as planned and work progress data.
