Analysis of Electromagnetic Wave Propagation in Corridors and Tunnels

In this book, a model is presented to simulate wave propagation in indoor environment. The proposed model is based on a combination of modal analysis, dyadic Green's function, mode matching method and generalized scattering matrix. A new approach to simulate the effect of imperfectly conducting walls for short corridor sections is proposed. The model is based on an equivalent waveguide section of larger dimensions with PEC walls. Modal analysis for long straight corridor sections and curved rectangular tunnels is proposed based on constant impedance surface approach. These scenarios are verified with good agreement by experimental results.
