The main content of the book is energy stategy and - policy.The goal of the work is to analyse the strategic problems of energy supply and perspectives of energy development in a long-term time period (50- 70 years forward).In this book is not proceeded from the nowadays environmental policy that at present occurs a global climate warming, but from the possibilities of continue consumers supplying with energy and the real possibilities to degrease the environmental pollutions in the long-term future. The following problems in this book: energy and environment, consumption and reserves of primary energy, electricity generation and power systems, innovation role in energy engineering, energy development long-term perspectives in Estonia.

Arvi Hamburg was born in 19th December 1948 in Estonia. Doctor of technical sciences. He is working in Estonian gas company AS Eesti Gaas as an adviser. Main areas of scientific work is energy management. He is the President of the Association of Engineers in Estonia.Professor in Tallinn University of Technology and Euro Academy.
