Analysis of financial sector: Emphasis on financial Intermediation

Inspired by the dynamics of the finance activities in the economy, this book presents results of a research that was conducted to determine the factors determining the performance of financial intermediation services in the National Accounts. The study intended to obtain good estimated measure of the value added of financial intermediation services activities in the economy using variables that have been statistically tested on the computed value added of the financial intermediation services.

Samuel Echoku Okorom works with national accounts at the Uganda Bureau of Statistics. He studied Statistics (BStat) and also Statistics and Economics (MStat) at Makerere University. In addition, he has a wide experience on the development and compilation of national accounts and the associated aggregates spanning a period of over 25 years.
