Analysis of Marketing Practices
Details
Despite the contribution of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) to the overall economic development of countries like Ethiopia is very much significant, sufficient local studies on their major business functions like marketing are not undertaken. Considering the indispensable role marketing management plays in fostering their position in the current competitive business environment, this study is undertaken to analyze and throw much light on the marketing practices of the MSEs with special reference to the metal and wood work business enterprises. Modern marketing management is not optional but is indispensable and basic for success of just any business organization. With this view in mind, it is suggested that the entrepreneurs on the one hand should exert every possible effort to upgrade their marketing knowledge and skills to better position in the market. On the other hand, concerned governmental and nongovernmental bodies are expected to give keen attention to the provision of marketing assistance and training.
