Analysis of pedestrian safety management in urban neighborhoods

What does it mean when you talk of pedestrian safety? How safe are pedestrians within urban areas and their neighborhoods? What can be done to guarantee pedestrians of their safety? Who are concerned with ensuring the safety? Why should pedestrians be a focus when it comes to planning of urban areas? All these questions have been answered in this research. A comparative study has been discussed on what is happening across the globe; both good and bad experiences. The best practices have been adopted for implementation, whereas better practices have been proposed to counter check the bad experiences.
