Analysis of the DRC's economic policies from 2007 to 2018

During the period under analysis, from 2007 to 2018, the economic policies implemented by the Congolese government to achieve macroeconomic objectives in order to improve the country's economic situation in general, have not been significantly successful. Indeed, with respect to price stability, the inflation rate has remained high, with an average inflation rate of 16% from 2007 to 2018. The inflation rate forecasts did not meet the criteria set by the African Central Bank Association (ABCA), which requires member countries to achieve a single-digit annual inflation rate of less than 3%. Unemployment remained very high at an average of 65 percent. The growth achieved was a growth of underemployment and poverty because it did not reduce poverty, poverty remained very high according to the world ranking of Human Development Indicators.
