In the project title "ANALYSIS OF THICK PLATE USING FINITE ELEMENT METHOD", the plate is analyzed using Mindilin Rissner Plate theory. The solution to the problem of the thick plate is approached using numerical technique known as Finite Element Method (FEM). A generalized MATLAB program is made to find the different results. An example is solved using this program. Results were presented for different elements. A convergence system presented for the program. A compression is also presented with the result found and with the result in available in literature.

Simant has graduated in Mech. Engg. from M.S.R.I.T., Bangalore and completed his M. Tech.from M.N.N.I.T.,Allahabad. He is pursuing Ph. D. from UPTU, Lucknow. He is Associate Professor in Mech. Engg. Depttt. in N.I.E.C.,Lucknow. His acdemics experience is more than 10 years. He has authored four books and published many International papers.
