Analysis of Time Delay and Cost Overrun in Erbil Governorate

Construction project delay and cost overrun are the main problems in Erbil governorate projects in Kurdistan Region. Erbil governorate projects are very important for the development, economy and the progress of Erbil City. Since 2003, the year when the Iraqi regime fell and the lifting of the blockade, after that installation of 17% in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq budget, Kurdistan Region's capital, Erbil has undergone a rapid pace of construction which did not exist before. The problem of delays and cost overruns in Erbil Governorate construction projects has not yet received enough attention from responsible authorities. Based on this study the factors of delay and cost overrun in the Erbil governorate construction projects, Recommendations on mitigation are given factor that affecting delay and cost overrun.
