Analysis of Urban Legibility and Environmental Performance in Nigeria

The city is a special womb thay births multiple ecological children, destined for plural purposes and are in a state of continual change in space and time. The complex interelationships between the city's constituent parts and the phantasmagoric transformations that frequently occur in all its spheres are indicative of the necessity; both to understand the role of the urban form and the effects on the same in urban performance. The pressure of multiple forces that shapes the city would definitely tell on the characters of the built city. This city characters would determine and be determined by how the users understand, appreciate and use it or how efficient it truly is. Altogether this sums into the total performance of the city considering the physical, social, economic, political and other city aspects. This array of complex situation may find expression in the study of Urban Legibility and Environmental Performance in Nigeria.
