Ancestral Roots of Jiguaní

In Jiguaní, the traces of the first inhabitants still speak. This book presents the history and legacy of the Aboriginals in the municipality, aimed at schoolchildren. Through historical data, archaeological findings, and reflections, it reveals how the first settlers lived, their customs, settlements, and contributions to local identity. It brings together texts by local and national authors that describe the main archaeological sites and objects found, as well as highlighting the importance of rivers and the natural environment for these communities. Dayuris González Fernández, licenciada em Educação Primária e Mestre em Ciências da Educação, coordena o curso no Centro Universitário Municipal de Jiguaní. Com 16 anos de experiência, ela pesquisou como ensinar a história local e despertar o interesse pelo passado aborígene de Jiguaní nas crianças em idade escolar.
