Anchored Visions of Indian Presidents - A Diplomat and a Scientist

President of India is the first citizen who presides over the affairs of the State. When a President decides to broadcast his discourse of life and office, it becomes a vision. Indian Presidents are all magnanimous personalities drawn from diverse and versatile backgrounds. This treasure chest of their ideas and ideals is deposited at the precincts of India's Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace). Two Presidents, Dr. K.R. Narayan and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, an outstanding diplomat and a scientist respectively, have served as Presidents of India 1997 to 2007 successively. Their discourses of rationalism and scientific temper, fore-sights for caste-free and poverty free India and insights into the Indian psyche and nation are incisively captured here.
