The concept of animal breeding is necessary to understand the basis of genetic improvement.With the advancement of science,animal breeding techniques have improved significantly in recent years. However, there is lack of concise text materials which provide the key concept of breeding for student of developing countries like Nepal.It is expected that this book can cover some fundamental concepts on animal breeding.Similarly, this book will be fruitful for undergraduate students studying Genetics and Animal Breeding.

Dr. Krishna Prasad Acharya is a graduated veterinarian from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Sciences(IAAS), Tribhuwan University(TU), Nepal. Currently he is working as an Animal Science Instructor at Shree Himganga Higher Secondary School, Ramechhap, Nepal. He is the author of many articles published in journals of repute.
