Anisotropic noise removal for amplitude modulated signals

Noise removal is an important step in communication and signal processing. Amplitude modulated signals in communication are usually associated with some vital features such as discontinuities and carrier signals. Linear methods remove noise from such signals but they also distort the original signals by removing some of these vital features. This book presents nonlinear techniques based on anisotropic diffusion to remove noise from amplitude modulated signals and preserve these vital features in such signals.
Autorentext
Sasan Mahmoodi received Ph.D degree from the University of Newcastle in 1998. In 1999, He held a Research Fellowship post in mathematical analysis of human vision in the same university. He joined the University of Southampton in 2007 as an assistant Professor. His current research interests are in signal processing, and medical image processing.
