Anthology of collective security articles

This anthology brings together three articles written in the period 2016 - 2018. Articles inform replete efforts towards the agitation for a robust African collective security mechanism. Guided by the admonitions of eminent collective security scholar George Schwarzenberger and, staid African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA): the articles agitate African Union (AU) action and reaction in instituting strong and effective regional mechanisms (RMs) in dealing with regressive armed conflict threats to African peace, security and sustainable developmental quest. Volume I builds momentum towards concerted efforts to serialise academic interventions aimed at kick-starting African solutions to African problems. Article XIII paper, unpacks an important writ central to the APSA apparatus - African Standby Force (ASF). U.S. Command (AFRICOM) paper, should not be viewed as a castigation of the United States military presence on African soil. Rather, the paper decries frail African efforts in asserting a strong collective security arrangement. Third paper, on recurrent armed conflict in Mozambique, challenges RMs to establish impregnable collective security infrastructure in Africa.
