Anti Emetic Activity of Some Locally Available Spices

The present investigations were intended to evaluate the Antiemetic activity of certain Spices of Lahore. Following spices were selected for the whole investigation. Murraya koenigii Punica granatum, Amomum subulatum Roxb, citrus sinensis, Illicium verum Anti-emetic investigations showed that aqueous extracts of all spices have high potential to reduce the frequency of retching in CuSO4 induced emesis in four days old chick. After treatment of aqueous extracts the frequency of retching of Punica granaum Citrus sinensis were 25.3 ± 1.45 ± &28.0 ±1.73respectively which statistically proved significant at P0.01 from the control (87.0 ±1.15 & 68.3 ±1.76 respectively ) value. Murraya koenigii Amomum subulatum Roxb, Illicium verum also have reduce the frequency of retching
