Antibiotic Susceptibility of Pathogens

Different organisms were isolated from Human blood and their Susceptibility Tests were performed at Armed Forces Institute of Pathology Pakistan diagnostic laboratory, and results were manipulated and static in this book. During testing these organisms also confirmed by classified pathologist. Being a student at that time I have I have confirmed every step from classifid pathologist. An automated blood system for blood culture Bact-Alert is used for blood culture Machine for organism's detection. Different genera as Enterobacter, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, acinetobacter were isolated. These tests and applying antibiotic discs were done according to the Clinical & laboratory standard Institute (CLSI) which were different for every organism according to the CLSI Some organisms such as Coagulase-Negative staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, Pseudomonas genera, E-coli, Klebsiella--pneumoniae and Klebsiella-pneumoniae Extended spectrum beta-lactamases and their susceptibility is given in this book. Organism identification was done by the help of different Analytical Profile Index (API).The physician can use these antibiotic as prompt treatment.
