Antimicrobial Activities of Two Pleurotus Species (Oyster mushrooms)
Details
For decades, the use of edible and medicinal mushrooms has increased exponentially, some of these mushrooms especially the 'Pleurotus species' are among the most exploited locally. With this rise in popularity, the market value have added and very little academic literature exists on how to best utilize these mushrooms. Traditional methods of consumption as concoction are no longer adequate,as methods of extractions have fully taken shape. This book, therefore, provides the efficacy of these crude extracts on some clinical isolates of public health importance. Three separate, extracts on these isolates where analysed. The analysis should help to shed some light on extracting methods and should be especially useful to professionals in biological sciences, pharmaceutical and other health science fields, or anyone else who maybe considering utilization of extracts from mushrooms or plants on clinical isolates of public health importance.
