Orchids are one of the beautiful plants created by nature. It contains both beautiful and an excellent vase/self life flower. They are also a source of flavor, food and traditional medicine. Vanillin which is added to ice creams and delicacies as flavoring agent is extracted from the pods of an orchid. The tubers of many orchids are being consumed as foods. A number of different alkaloids used as medicine also reported from orchids.The focus of this book "Antimicrobial Property of Medicinal Orchids" is on providing resources and ideas to help researcher to get minimum information regarding the medicinal orchids of India.
