Le stade fut construit pour avoir une capacité de 110 000 spectateurs, le plus grand stade en Australie. Il fut reconfiguré en 2003, lui donnant une capacité de 83 418 places avec un terrain rectangulaire, et de 70 000 places avec un terrain ovale. La couverture a été étendue, de sorte que 90% des places sont couvertes.
