With the advanced technologies which currently exists, the voting systems used across the world are overly outdated. The waiting in long lines to voting, counting of ballots and then waiting days for the results and in some cases weeks. With all the challenges surrounding the current voting systems, it is safe to say that the current technologies are underutilized. With the use of mobile technology, biometrics and data encryption voting systems in today's era could be greatly enhanced

I completed a Msc. Computer Science degree at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica in 2012. Prior to that, I obtained a Bachelor s degree in Computing & Information Technology from University of Technology Jamaica in 2006. In my Master s Programme I did my research thesis on Application of Biometrics in Mobile Voting.
