Application of Compound Parabolic Collector in Solar PV-Thermal System
Details
The research progress in the field of concentrated solar power (CSP) with photovoltaic thermal (PVT) technologies has a great impact for fulfilling today's energy demand. So this book talks about the performance of PVT system and effect of fins on the performance of the system. The numerical modelling is used to solve fluid and structural domains, and both analyses are synchronised with the help of Fluid-Structure Interface. This phenomenon is helpful to examine the effect of concentrated solar fluxes, temperature distribution and mass flow rate. The obtained results show that, there is potential enhancement in performance of PVT system using extended surfaces at 0.83 kg/sec mass flow rate. This CSP - PVT system is able to enhance and produce thermal and electrical power simultaneously.
