Application of FMEA to Improve Maintenance Management:
Details
This work aims to develop a maintenance system in a crushing company in the sertão of Pernambuco. A bibliographic review was done to get to know some concepts for the comprehension of the theme and the study of the main failure modes, causes and effects and the application of the FMEA tool. This research was developed through a case study. Interviews and in loco visits were also made in the company that was the object of study, to get to know the structure and survey information to later create the FMEA tables, where from these tables a maintenance plan will be developed, using the 5W2H tool to apply predictive maintenance. The maintenance plan consists in the reduction of breakages or unexpected failures. The FMEA tool consists in the identification of what has been the causative agent of the failures and seeks to offer a way to solve the problems. The research also addressed the creation of an action plan to assist in maintenance management. Finally, the FMEA and 5W2H tools were applied in the aforementioned company.
