Applications of Radioisotopes in Dentistry

Over the last many years, research into nuclear medicine and novel applications in dentistry has progressed volumes, but layman's fear of radiation hazards and limited knowledge of its safe use has hurdled its utilization. This book gives an overview of the applications of various radioisotopes in both medicine and dentistry. It throws light on the various, lesser known, dental applications of specific radioisotopes in diagnosis. It stresses on the optimum application of this old diagnostic area along with detailed information regarding health protection and safety hazards that have defamed this modality to a large extent. This book is targeting the young reasearchers and students who must be aware of this modality without which diagnotics is incomplete.
