Applied problems of gas and hydrodynamics

The book is targeted at the specialists of gas and hydrodynamics and is dedicated to the applied problems in this field of physics. It is shown that the contemporary concept on sound is fair only for homogeneous medium; however it is also applied to inhomogeneous media which often leads to contradictory results. The book considers the most typical examples of these applied tasks, unveils the reasons of contradiction and introduces ways of overcoming.
