This book discusses the types, nature and causes of Tugen- Pokot conflicts and evaluates the role indigenous approaches could play in sub-ethnic conflict management. It outlines methods that have worked and those that have not been successful in resolving and managing conflicts. The book advocates for the importance of integrating indigenous approaches that have been successful to contemporary methods of resolving and managing ethnic and sub ethnic conflicts in Kenya.

The author has a PhD and is a former Head of the department of Government and Public Administration at Moi University. He is currently a Lecturer in political science at the same University.
