This publication is a milestone in the knowledge of soil microbiology in the production process of medicinal plants, especially calendula. It covers a wide range of content, totalling 73 pages. This dissertation consists of an Introduction, Literature Review, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion on the factors of flower growth and production, mycorrhizal colonisation, nutrient content and total flavonoid content in the aerial parts of plants. The final part covers the Summary and Conclusions, Bibliographical References and Appendix. We are certain that the knowledge contained in this publication will contribute significantly to the consolidation of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi as a great potential for the production of medicinal plants.
