Architectural relationships
Details
The book, written in Polish and English, presents an outcome of two scientific conferences which added a research dimension to the author's architectural studies. This publication is a compilation of two research papers of the same genesis. Both of them were written to verify a frequently encountered view that contemporary architectural forms are created on the basis of some universal assumptions of historical architecture. The first paper, 'Early Baroque art in the language of contemporary technology - comparative analysis: Villa Giulia versus the student design' aims to investigate the influence of technological advancements on artistic expression. The second paper, '(In)variability of the needs of man in his residential environment - analytical considerations' focuses on the residential environment of man as a notion which is frequently misunderstood, while it should be continuously defined and then referred anew to the present situation of a potential society of inhabitants.
