From ancient time, plants are rich source of effective and safe medicines. Herbal medicines have been main source of primary healthcare in many nations. Traditional system of medicine has given rise to some important drugs still in use today. Humans have long understood the medicinal properties of plants and have imbued trees, plants and flowers with spiritual properties. Therefore, the present study is aimed at investigating the plant Amorphophallus sps. for its phytochemical screening and antimicrobial studies to authenticate and evaluate the potentials of Arid Zone Plants as therapeutic target for future generations.
