Armenia: Human rights - Domestic context and international politics
Details
At the time when the main international human rights treaties ratified by the vast majority of states, there is interest how a particular state fulfills its obligations. This is a compilation of statements made at well-known international human rights venues such as UN Human Rights Council and OSCE Human Dimension Implementation meeting. This is the first time when all statements devoted to human rights collected together in a single document thus give opportunity to follow the developments of Armenia's state policy in this field over the past ten years. The author refers to all human rights: civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights by showing that country's engagement for human rights at the international level is based on its commitment to human rights protection at the national level, notably through the constitutional and legal developments and practical steps. The book is useful to an international human rights law students, researchers, human rights activists and academicians.
