Art and Identity in the School of Plastic Arts UAdeC

The study of artists' personalities as projected in their work is in itself complex because it involves delving into their unconscious world. Although the aim is to detect projective elements of their unconscious world through the qualitative analysis of their creations, as well as their writings and interviews, it cannot be taken for granted that it is a definitive interpretation, even if it is in the field of psychoanalysis: art, as one of the means of expression of the depths of the human being, constitutes a resource for personal knowledge and the continuous strengthening of the artist's identity. Therefore, the study of the artists' personality projected in their work represents in itself a complexity because it implies entering into the unconscious world of the artists. The present work was developed from general inferences to the analysis of particular cases, with a series of cases: three female students graduated from the Bachelor's Degree in Plastic Arts of the School of Plastic Arts "Prof. Rubén Herrera" of the Autonomous University of Coahuila, specifically on the personal material poured and their works.
