Art and Science used for synthesis of Hagen's gland lactones

Total synthesis of complicated molecules is achieved with an aim to synthesize the compound in large quantities through less expensive route, confirm the correctness of proposed structure, introduce more pharmacophores, and improve the knowledge of chemical reactions. No doubt, the uncontested master in the synthesis of molecules is nature itself however synthetic organic chemists have also tried their best to achieve the same. The present book demonstrates the efforts put forward by organic chemists from time to time to achieve the total synthesis of Hagen's gland lactones. The motive is that this knowledge will act as foundation in future for numerous brilliant ideas and new efficient synthetic approaches.

His research interests include total synthesis, development of methodologies and modification of bio-active natural products for lead development.
