Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a transformative field of computer science focused on creating systems that can perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence. These tasks include learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding. Broadly, AI encompasses a range of technologies, such as machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, robotics, and generative models. Its potential lies not only in automating routine activities but also in augmenting human capabilities in ways previously unimaginable. Present book consist of seven chapters including introduction, foundations of AI ethics, algorithmic bias and fairness, transparency and explain ability.

Dr. Richa Srivastava is currently employed as faculty at the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, India. She has received CST- Young Scientist Award 2015, 'ISCA-Young Scientist Award 2013'ISCA, KOLKATA, 'G. C. JAIN memorial prize for the best thesis. The author has published forty-five research articles and three books.
