Details

The main purpose of this study is to develop a set of neural network models to predict the structural behavior of elastoplastic plates. The research is applicable for plates subjected to uniform and concentrated loads. The objectives of the present work can be stated as follows: 1. Investigate the suitability of ANNs for application in the structural analysis domain, particularly in simulating the behavior patterns of structural elements, including elastoplastic plates. 2. Develop, train and implement a set of ANN models for forward, inverse and design problems of the elastoplastic plates. 3. Compare the results of these neural network models with the results obtained from FEM. 4. Inspecting the relative importance of input parameters into predicting the outputs of ANN models.
