Artistic Works and Their Legal Protection in Digital Age in Tanzania

We have to know that time, Effort, creativity, and investment needed for the creation of artistic works is often huge, and their protection against unauthorized use is of crucial importance particularly when it is done online. Efficient legal framework for protection of artistic works is needed against their misuse and misappropriation that are done online or offline. As Compared to my other book titled, "Copyright Protection in Tanzania and Development of Science which speaks wholly about copyright (both Literary and Artistic Works). This book aims to give exhaustive analysis on the infringement of artistic works (particularly musical works) and legal protection in Tanzania, lessons for Tanzania to learn from the protection of artistic works in other jurisdictions such as India and the United Kingdom. Also the book provides necessary steps that Tanzania may undertake so as to have efficient legal framework on the protection of artistic works. The authors opted to analyze the legal framework on the protection of artistic works in India and the United Kingdom because of the significant development of Information and Communication Technology and Copyright Law in both countries.
