ASD? ASB! Autism Spectrum Blessing: Inclusion, Rinzai Zen, Diagnosis, Therapy, Addiction, Neurotypical, Overload, Meltdown, Shutdown, Masking, post-traumatic stress disorder

Carolina is now 58 and happily married. She has a cat and a dog and both come from animal welfare organisations. In this way, she was able to give maltreated souls a loving home. And the animals, especially the dog, give her day a structure. That was particularly important to her. She had never understood why, but now she had clarity. She was on the autism spectrum! Until recently, its degree was still referred to as Asperger's syndrome, but due to the large number of different manifestations, it is now only referred to as autism spectrum disorder. And in this context, remember a quote from an author I don't know: 'If you know an autistic person, then you know an autistic person!

This is a biographical narrative. Not an autobiography and not always in chronological order, but honest and direct.

Jahrgang 1960, in Bremen geboren. In zweiter Ehe verheiratet, lebt mit seiner Frau, der Katze und einer Hündin - beide aus dem Tierschutz - in einer Kleinstadt in Norddeutschland. Rolf Horst war über 40 Jahre im EDV und Personalwesen tätig. Davon 21 Jahre in einem Medienunternehmen. Mehrere Jahre hat er in EDV Unternehmen gearbeitet und dort Kunden betreut. Er liebt Musik - 70er Jahre Musik, genauso wie Liedermacher und Protestsänger (Reinhard Mey, Konstantin Wecker, Hannes Wader u.a.) und die tollen neuen Künstler*innen (Lea, Lina Maly u.a.) aus Deutschland.
