Private Equity is a widespread phenomenon in well developed markets such as US,UK and Europe. In Emerging Asia, this book argues how role of private equity is playing increasingly an important role in developing countries such as India and China. What is the economics of the private equity market? What are the implications, which therefore ensue for corporate governance mechanisms in these countries as a result of the new wave of private equity? How are the legal systems in China and India equipped to deal with the new wave of private equity?
