Aspects of Complementization in Àkúr Yorùbá

This work discusses the Aspects of Complementization in Àkúr dialect of Yorùbá (a Niger-Congo language spoken in West Africa). It has its view on two constructions namely: interrogative and focus constructions. The motive of the study is to show the relationship between these two constructions in Àkúr dialect and analyze the structure of their formations in line with the Complementization approach.

Fadairo Opeyemi Yusuf received B.A in Linguistics/Yorùbá Language and M.A in Yorùbá Language from University of Lagos. He is a lover of theoretical Linguistics who has written and contributed in many papers in the area. He is currently preparing for his Doctoral Degree in the same department.
