As remote sensing data and methods have become increasingly complex and varied - and increasingly reliable - so have their uses in forest assessment and management. New algorithms have been developed in virtually every aspect of image analysis, from classification to enhancements to estimating parameters. Shivangi Somvanshi is Asst Prof in Amity University,Noida, India.Her early experience of remote sensing (RS) began with a project at RSAC-UP and was furthered by commercial experience.Throughout her journey of remote sensing her interest in the exploitation of satellite data has steadily grown.She is actively engaged in the use of RS in environment
