Attitude of Students towards Homework

In order to achieve the objective the teacher uses certain tricks, which are commonly termed as 'Devices of Teaching'.Devices are external modes or forms which the teacher thinks useful to employ at certain occasions.These are used not only as aids to effective learning but also as tools for motivating the students.Though Home-work is a teacher centered device it has great educational benefits.It develops moral & intellectual qualities of self-reliance, self-direction & initiative among students."Homework is a step towards self education enabling the child to use his own resources and work unsupervised"-Adams. Homework is also defined as tasks assigned to students by school teachers that are intended to be carried out during non-school hours.This definition excludes in-school guided study(although homework is often worked on during school)home-study courses, and extracurricular activities such as sports teams & clubs.School teachers assign homework to the students to enable them to revise the knowledge imparted in the class and to supplement the teaching work done in the class.But,here arise a million dollar question.Do the students possess a positive attitude towards homework.
