Augmented Secure Neighbor Discovery

Secure Neighbor Discovery (SEND) is designed as a countermeasure to Neighbor Discovery Protocol threats. The author discusses SEND implementation and deployment challenges and propose several modifications to optimize it. He propose a Time-Based CGA, a more privacy conscious CGA through changing addresses over time, an extension of the CGA verification algorithm to mitigate DoS attacks, and a Compact and more Secure CGA (CS-CGA).

Ahmad Alsadeh is an Assistant Professor at Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Birzeit University in Palestine. He awarded the degree of Doctor of Engineering in Network Security discipline from University of Potsdam/Hasso Plattner Institute in Germany in October 2013. He is interested in implementing Internet Security protocols.
