Australian Poems

Australian Poems: 1978-2010 is an Australian masterpiece. The 350 poems of the anthology are divided into two aliquot parts, grouped into six thematic sections: Animal, Mineral, Vegetable, and Scissors, Paper, Rock. The first part describes Australian wildlife and Australia s diverse landscape. The metre captures a uniquely Australian vision, which sports with and delights the reader as it imaginatively depicts Australia s powerful natural beauty. The second part is a suite of poems that traverses love, sorrow and the existential dilemma. At the heart of these poems is the dialectic of philosophy, a continuum that acknowledges the work of earlier Australian, European and Indian poets. Australian Poems will appeal both to veteran readers of poetry as well as to those only beginning to explore verse composition.
