AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER IN PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

This book provides the reader a chance to observe the world through a different lens. The view of the autistic child's parent about things such as doctors appointments, treatment cost, child's behavioural issues, and his oral health have been displayed succinctly. The book begins with the history and development of the concept of "Autism" in the world till date. The incidence of Autism in the world have been explained in detail. Different etiologies for Autism and recent updates on the same have been highlighted in the book. The diagnosis and treatment planning of such children is discussed briefly in the text as well. This book comes in handy for general as well as pediatric dentists who are willing to treat special health care needs children.
