Axiology of Art

Axiology is that branch of philosophy which studies the moral and the aesthetic values in particular. In this reconstructive prolegomenon, Mahmoud Khatami studies the aesthetic values, and tries to show how these values are inherent in and essential for our primordial sense and comprehension of the beautiful. He provides a systematic axiology of art through offering considerable reflections on aspects of the external world, the internal life, beauty and artworks.
